Imagine This....

Labor is approaching, you are calm, you are relaxed and you are eager for what is about to unfold. You are confident in your body's ability and the natural process of birth. You call your doula to let her know contractions are intensifying and are now having to turn inwards as you move with the sensations. You get comfortable and focus on your breathing that you practiced with your doula until she arrives. You are greeted with a warm smile and comforting presence as the sensations become closer together. Your doula eases the intensity with strong hip squeezes, a relaxing environment, gentle massages, position changes and words of encouragement. You turn all external noises and distractions out knowing you are surrounded by a birth team who knows and loves you. You feel completely safe allowing your body to surrender to labor and bring your baby home, safely in your arms.
